The People There To Catch Us
22 minute documentary broadcast on RTÉ 1 8pm, Monday 13th November.
Funded by Science on Screen through Ardán.
This documentary shows a side of the cancer story that I think we can often miss - the incredible community of people that are there to help and support, often in unexpected ways. By taking a more patient-focused approach, cancer treatment is evolving to massively improve the quality of life for people with a cancer diagnosis, during and after their treatment.
I hope this documentary does make a positive difference for people who may see it; it is a documentary about a difficult subject, but with a very hopeful tone. Cancer treatment is changing so much, and with a more personalised and patient-focused approach, it's changing for the better.
